En una breve, pero, certera conferencia de prensa en el Teatro Samuel Goldwyn de Beverly Hills, se dieron a conocer los nominados a los premios Oscar 2015.
Los directores J.J. Abrams y Alfonso Cuarón, y la presidenta de la Academia, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, fueron a los encargados de dar los nombres que competirán por la estatuilla el próximo 22 de febrero.
Entre los nominados a mejor película están: «Boyhood», el experimento de 12 años del director Richard Linklater; «Birdman», el regreso de Michael Keaton a la pantalla grande; «El gran hotel Budapest», de Wes Anderson; «The Imitation Game», la cinta biográfica sobre el científico Alan Turing; «El francotirador», lo nuevo de Clint Eastwood; «La Teoría del todo», el filme basado en la vida del científico Stephen Hawkings; «Selma», producida por Brad Pitt; y finalmente una de las películas musicales del año «Whiplash».
