Los Billboard Music Awards 2014 estuvieron llenos de sorpresas y música. Desfilaron los más diversos cantantes por la alfombra roja y los premios se fueron distribuidos para casi todos.
El holograma de Michael Jackson fue uno de los grandes momentos de la noche, donde revivimos el estilo del Rey del Pop quien falleció el 2009. Jennifer López aparte de recibir el Icon Award, actuó para abrir y para cerrar los premios, primero con el ‘We Are One (Ole Ola)’ junto a Pitbull y Claudia Leitte, y luego con su nuevo sencillo ‘First Love’.

Shakira cantó "Empire", mientras que Iggy Azalea cantó "Fancy" con Charli XCX y después el hit "Problem" con Ariana Grande. Lorde con su tradicional estilo lúgubre cantó "Tennis Court".

Katy Perry cantó "Birthday" con peluca verde y globos volando por todo el escenario, pero desde su gira ‘Prismatic’, al igual que Miley Cyrus, que aparecía desde su gira ‘Bangerz’ en Manchester para cantar junto a The Flaming Lips ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’ de los Beatles.
También vimos a Ricky Martin, Jason Derulo, Robin Thicke, John Legend y mucho más.
Pero aparte de las diversas presentaciones, también se realizó la entrega de los premios, que son de los más importantes de la industria.
Quien más premios ganó fue Justin Timberlake, con 7 premios principalmente por el éxito de su ‘The 20/20 Experience’. Le siguieron Imagine Dragons con 5 y Robin Thicke con 4. Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus o Lorde se quedaron con 2 premios cada una.
