Tras una serie de filtraciones, finalmente esta mañana, a través de las redes sociales de The Beatles, se confirmó el relanzamiento de «Abbey Road» en su aniversario 50.

Esta nueva edición del último disco que grabaron los Fab Four en los estudios de la EMI que le dan nombre a la producción estará disponible en formato físico y plataformas digitales desde el viernes 27 de septiembre, un día después de que se cumpla medio siglo de su lanzamiento original.

Esta nueva edición de «Abbey Road» de The Beatles contará con una nueva mezcla en stereo, un disco de demos y tomas alternativas en su versión de doble CD, dos discos de material extra y un Blu-Ray con mezcla 5.1 y Dolby Atmos en Blu-Ray en caja de 4 discos de lujo, y una edición de lujo en triple vinilo con tracks no incluidos en los CDs.

A modo de adelanto, está disponible la nueva mezcla en stereo de «Something», single escrito por George Harrison que le dio su primer número 1 como autor. Escúchala a continuación junto con su demo y una toma con el arrelo instrumental de cuerdas, ambos también parte de la reedición del disco.
