Tristes noticias para el mundo del rock y la música en general: Eddie Van Halen, guitarrista y miembro fundador de Van Halen, falleció a los 65 años de edad.
Según reporta TMZ, el músico murió tras una larga batalla contra el cáncer. Fuentes conectadas directamente con la estrella de rock revelaron que Eddie Van Halen murió en el Hospital St. John en Santa Mónica esta jornada. Su esposa, Janie, estaba a su lado, junto con su hijo, Wolfgang, y Alex, el hermano y baterista de Eddie.
El portal agrega que en las últimas 72 horas la batalla por la salud en curso de Eddie fue enormemente cuesta abajo: los médicos descubrieron que su cáncer de garganta se había trasladado a su cerebro y a otros órganos.
